About the holiday cottage

An-T-Gwen is conveniently situated in the centre of Llangollen, North Wales in Church Street. This beamed, three storey, terraced cottage with history dating back several centuries has been modernised to a good standard without losing its original character.

On the ground floor is a small porch, leading into an open plan living area with an inglenook fireplace containing a wood burning stove, and a well equipped kitchen area.

On the first floor there is a bathroom and a twin bedded bedroom with ensuite shower. The main bedroom on the top floor of the cottage features a king size four poster bed. A single Futon gives an additional bed suitable for a child.

About the location in Llangollen, North Wales

Llangollen stands on the river Dee nestling in the valley amidst beautiful mountainous countryside. It provides an ideal centre for touring North and Mid-Wales, including the Snowdonia National Park and numerous coastal resorts. As well as the outstanding beauty of the surrounding countryside there are many local attractions and activities available. Something for all interests and ages!

Either in town or within easy reach there is horse riding, golf, canoeing, rafting, mountain bike riding, swimming, rock climbing and abseiling, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, paraglyding as well as good walking and climbing country and bird watching.

The nearest International airports are at Manchester (68 miles) and Liverpool (46 miles). The nearest train station is at Ruabon (6 miles).
